Definitely beats the 14 points of the real deal
What's up my peeps! I'm marching along with the sliders and decided that I wanted to make one especially for my Connect friend, @mariarachael12, who loves the real Carl's Jr. Western Bacon Cheeseburger. Ok... I love it too, but not at 14+ points. My version makes a hearty 1/3 pound mini burger, that's juuuust about the size of a baseball, a definite tasty and filling meal. Eat 2 of these bad boys and you're good and full. These feature my first recipe attempt at crispy oven baked onion rings. They are good, but this is only my first draft of my eventual onion ring recipe that I'm still tweaking. This recipe calls for my low point Pretzel Slider Buns and my Low Point BBQ Sauce. So saddle up your ponies, throw on your leather chaps (even if it isn't tuesday night at the blue oyster bar) and get ready to have a delicously low point, low calorie, ww-friendly version of a drive thru favorite.
The above linked, free file, is NOT found in the pages of my Low Point Cooking Guide, that you can download for free here on my website. This recipe is one of the first for the Appetizers section, of the upcoming "Salad Dressings, Dips & Appetizers" download/book, that I'm starting on, that will eventually be out after the cupcakes and cake download/book is finished. Let's get these appetizers rolling.
