This is a separate download of the Holiday Side Dishes section of my cooking guide. I was challenged (in a good way) to try and help folks out by coming up with very delicious and Low Point versions of classic Thanksgiving side dishes. I wanted to help bring hope to the masses that you can enjoy the holidays without stressing out...
This is a 22 megabyte download that is a small collection of Weight Watchers Friendly Holiday side dishes that are extremely low in Points. One of the huge stresses about this time of year is how high in fat, calories and points a typical Holiday meal is. In every single workshop you go to EVERYONE is always stressing about how they are going to fall off-plan and struggle, how many weeklies they are going to dip into, how far back they are going to tumble in their journey... you need a shovel to get through the collective dispair. It needs to be addressed with advice OTHER than just "track everything and portion". Screw that folks, I don't have any desire to feel like I'm dieting. I want to ENJOY the Holiday dinner table without stressing about my weigh in.
In an effort to help everyone with that I worked hard to make some TRULY low Point Holiday side dishes that are typical for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Currently in this download are recipes for legitimately tasty Stuffing/Dressing, Gravy, Green Bean Casserole, Roasted Garlic and Rosemary Mashed Cauliflower, Sweet Potato Casserole, Cheesy Gnocchi Casserole with Italian Sausage (in place of mac n cheese), Spiced Cranberry Sauce and Cornbread Muffins.
If your computer is unable to open the file you will need to install a FREE copy of -- Adobe Acrobat -- or any other program capable of opening PDF files.
I made the Mashed Cauliflower recipe for a pot luck at work so double batch. I set aside a small bowl so my husband could try it. He normally does not like vegetables. He ate the whole bowl and LOVED it! He said, Do Not lose this recipe! I thought it was spectacular and even better than the potato version! I could eat this everyday. Today the pot luck was cancelled so now my husband actually cheered because now he gets to eat the rest of the mashed cauliflower! I'm happy too! Soooo Yummy! Thanks Daniel!
Hi there folks I need your help. I would like to add a few reviews from some of you that have downloaded this file in the past, tried them, and wouldn't mind leaving a review with your honest opinions about them. If you wouldn't mind having your name, connect name, and a 1 paragraph review posted here I would really appreciate it. It'd help new people to be able to trust that they can download these recipes without having to worry that they are about to spend their time and money on a mouthful of sad. So if you would like to help out could you please email me a 1 paragraph little write up of what you've liked about the info, if it's been helpful, that kind of stuff along with your name, connect name, and a picture that I can post here next to your review. I'll size it down to fit in this little image box, so don't worry if it isn't perfect. Please send your info to dhallakx7@gmail.com. And guys, I really only need a handful of reviews to post here so that it looks like a legitimate file. I can't post every single one that gets sent. I'm sorry if you send a heartfelt and wonderful review and I end up not being able to use it. I promise that I'll read them all, think your awesome and then I'll feel super nice, but I can really only use 5-6 of them on this page.
