Low Point, Low Calorie... FULLY Gourmet.
So that I'm no longer clogging up the "featured recipes" page of my site, I'm moving all burger and sandwich recipes to this page. I'm heavily focussing on churning out these recipes right now, for the next downloadable cookbook that I'm hoping to have finished around summer time. It will be a collection of summer time cookout, bbq and picnic recipes. Things that you'd serve at summertime family get togethers and backyard cookouts, such as burgers and sandwiches (obviously) side dishes and drinks... such as my fabled, sugar free, low point, low calorie cucumber mint lemonade. But first, I have to get through the burgers and sandwiches. I'm hoping to put together at LEAST 20 different low point, delicious, ultra low point takes on gourmet sandwiches and burgers.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT POINTS:
Note: With the exception of the Vietnamese Bahn Mi burgers... NONE OF THESE RECIPES contain the points for buns or bread. The reason for that is, I want to encourage you to use whatever low point bun, bread or wrap that you want. Use any bread that you want for your burger... and then simply add MY points onto your bread. My burger recipes are for the "FILLING" of your burger, what's between the buns. Using my Mushroom and Swiss burgers as an example: The 1st burger, on the Blue plan, is 3 points. That does NOT include your bun. So, if you choose to use a 3 point bun from your grocery store, add MY 3 points to the 3 points of your bun, and boom.... 6 point burger. If you want to use a 6 point, high calorie, store bought Pretzel bun.... then add my 3 points onto that pretzel bun and BOOM... 9 point burger. This way, you can easily figure the points for my burgers to whatever bread you feel like using.
